Liner vs tramp shipping, roles of carrier, forwarder, NVOCC and agent. How freight rates are built, basic tariffs and surcharges, and how capacity, routes and seasons affect pricing.

From Sale to Shipment – Trade & Contracts
How sales contracts, Incoterms and letters of credit shape shipping responsibilities. Linking buyer–seller agreements with who arranges freight, documentation and insurance.

Core Shipping Documents in Practice
Deep dive into bookings, shipping instructions, bills of lading, manifests and delivery orders. Field-by-field explanation of what each item means and what happens if it is wrong or missing.

Freight, Charges, Claims & Digital Trends
Freight invoices, debit / credit notes, detention & demurrage, and basic claims flow. Introduction to eBLs and digital documentation. Simple checklists to make daily documentation more robust.
